Joshua, as I've mentioned, is not afraid to take risks. So today, he apparently had a course of action planned out. Clara served as the distraction when she needed to go potty. He took the couple minutes that took, to move his Cozy Coupe near the trampoline, climb on the trampoline, get on top of the car, and grab the light and try to swing on it. I am not sure where he got this idea, though possibly Toy Story. As you might expect if you are not three, since Joshua weighs more than a Buzz Lightyear action figure, the light broke. The bowl of the light felt to the ground and shattered, scaring Hannah who was jumping on the trampoline at the time. Joshua was also super frightened as this did not go at all as he was envisioning. This was our major excitement of the day and none of the kids has stopped talking about it. The light still works and no one was hurt, so though we will replace the fixture, it definitely could have been worse. I am hoping some sort of lesson on the viability of recreating cartoons was learned.
