I had today off, as it's Labor Day, so I decided to take a couple of the kids and check out the
Kansas Children's Discovery Center that
Meghan had recently discovered and for which bought us a membership. We needed lunch, so we first stopped at Wendy's, and then we headed into the KCDC. Joshua had been there with Meghan, so he immediately knew which things he wanted to do, but it was Hannah's first time, so she cautiously explored the area, trying to feel it out. Joshua really loved the "sandbox" which was not the least bit surprising. It was nice because they had little beads instead of sand, so the kids didn't get dirty, but I did end up picking up tiny rolling beads off our floor when we got home as they slowly dislodged themselves from Joshua's clothing later in the day. But it was a really nice place to take the kids, despite the distance, and I'm really glad Meghan found it.
