Today we were able to have a date day while Jason's mom and Ron watched the kids. We started out with breakfast at Cowgirl Kitchen. It was really yummy.
After breakfast, we got ready to go to the beach. We just love the beach. We have a lot of fun there with the kids, but obviously we have to watch them every second for safety so it isn't super relaxing. When it's just us, we get to really relax and read and have fun. We pretty much spent the entire day at the beach, though we did have an afternoon snack. We really weren't hungry for lunch since our breakfasts were so large.
I am not sure I would ever get sick of this. It's so pretty and fun and relaxing. We had a great day.
Joshua also loves the beach and Ron took him to play in the sand for awhile. He was so enamored with the sand that he never even noticed us, though Ron didn't exactly point us out either since we didn't want him to be distracted by us. He didn't even notice when Jason was just a few feet away while taking this photo.
The beach pretty much shuts down around 5, so we went in and got ready to go to dinner. We went to a restaurant called Louis Louis, but Ron grilled for the kids. Joshua was his special helper.
We enjoyed Louis Louis, especially the crab cakes, but it was probably not somewhere we would go back to. For dessert, we went to La Crema in Rosemary Beach for dessert fondue.
Like last year, it was super good and a perfect way to end the night. We had a really pleasant date day and we were so glad for the opportunity to spend time alone.
