Today Hannah turned 21 months. She has grown so much in the past three months and seems like such a big girl. She has entered her independent phase on the early side and wants to do everything on her own. She says "self!" all the time and doesn't want any help. She wants to climb things on her own, including the stairs, and get up on the couch by herself and get her shoes on by herself and swim by herself (we have discarded the floatie ring and gotten her a life vest like the other kids so she can feel big) and everything like that. She has strong verbal skills and can speak in short sentences and has a large vocabulary. She can walk really confidently, but she can't yet jump. Hopefully she'll learn that soon because I think she will really like the trampoline. She has major third-child-syndrome and wants everything the other kids have even if she doesn't really want or like it. She loves books and reading stories. She has gotten very picky and at this point has a pretty limited diet. She likes breaded chicken, hot dogs, waffles, chex, bananas, and raisins. And milk is a big hit. Most other things are met with deep suspicion unless they are treats. She is definitely an instigator and likes poking and starting things with the other kids. She also gets really mad when she doesn't get her way and throws things to express her anger. We can't believe how big she is getting and love her so much!
