Valentine's Day Carnival

It has been a really long time since Joshua has been to school because he had the flu and then they missed a week for snow. But today he went back just in time for their Valentine's Day carnival and party. Jason had to take Clara to the doctor at that same time, but I went to the party with Joshua.

There were a variety of carnival games. Joshua did the basketball toss, penny toss, bean bag toss, and ring toss (there was a lot of tossing. He loved it). There was also a stamp station that he enjoyed. You can see him here in front of the ring toss (they won cans of pop which was a little different, but I am okay with 7 Up on occasion so I guess it's fine) with his prize bling as well as a kiss from Mrs. Trug on his forehead.

There was also a cake walk. Joshua had a lot of interest in this because we made and donated a cake to this so he really wanted some cake. Though he didn't win a big cake, on the last round everyone won a cupcake. He was really happy about that and wouldn't even look at the camera for a photo because he was totally focused on his cake-eating experience.
We wrapped things up with some popcorn and some more kisses from Mrs. Trug. At home he enjoyed playing with the red balloon he got and showed off his smooches. Also shown here is the Valentine card box he used and some of the loot he collected.
