Thanksgiving Tree

Like last year, this year we are doing a Thanksgiving Tree to prepare for Thanksgiving. Every day we choose a leaf, pray a prayer of Thanksgiving to God, and then attach it to the tree. It's been a fun activity so far. Hannah loves praying out loud, which is sweet and adorable. Clara has been really disappointed that both Joshua and Hannah are on the tree and she isn't, so hopefully her leaf gets picked soon because that's really been the only source of contention so far. Some day we'll switch to the kids thinking of things they are thankful for, but we aren't there yet and, for now, this is a nice way to celebrate. Besides all the really important things on the tree like God, family, basic needs being met, etc, one thing I am really thankful for that isn't on the tree is my Silhouette Cameo. Last year I had to hand cut every leaf. It was substantially more enjoyable and less time-consuming to make the leaves this year and they also look better and I was able to make sizes more appropriate for the circle punches I have.
